Candolim, Goa: The Queen of My Dreams!!!

Now, I usually catch it in my dreams: serene, tranquil and uncrowded coastline endorsed with scintillating scenery of palm trees and groovy mountain views. Away from madness of Goa, about 15-km from Capital city Panaji, there locates Candolim: my dream beach destination in India’s beach capital. I have been to this pristine sandy beach thrice, but every time we encounter it enriches me something unique: indeed remarkably pleasant. My brother (cousin) is settled in Ponda, which encourages me to pack my bags to Goa every six month or so.

My last meet with Candolim was two months ago, and I was pleased to discover that the grace here is even better than it was two years ago. Candolim is, famously, the place where tranquility and solace has a different meaning, matchless to almost everywhere in Goa. Fetchingly tucked between Aguada Fort and Calangute beach, Candolim is one of the longest beaches in Goa and is a sparkling jewel of Bardez Taluka. Very calm, picturesque and peaceful, it ultimately soothes one’s eyes and senses. And what adds to its tranquil charm is a range of recreations and awesome weather conditions that you can enjoy here all through a year.

Candolim: Peaceful, Pristine & Picturesque
Things to Do and See at Candolim:

Candolim is a less commercialized beach, where options for luxury resorts and modern amenities are relatively fewer. Nevertheless, it has a long list of things to do and see for travelers of all profiles. An astounding mix of nice golden sand, crystal clear water of Arabian Sea and stunning views of sunrise and sunset will leave you spellbound. If you’re the one who love fishing, this is the place to be. You can either enjoy it with villagers, who are usually humble and warm, or can embark on your own. Yoga and meditation is also year-round sprouting activity on the beach.

Fishing at Candolim: A Rewarding Experience

If exploring fun-filled water sports is your idea of a perfect holiday, Candolim wouldn’t disappoint you. A wide range of water activities, from parasailing to jet-skiing and wind surfing to boat-ride, give adventure-seekers a sense of sheer pleasure. Lying leisurely on warm sand and soaking up the beauty of sea and sun is also a rewarding experience here. For watery-funs, many private agencies here avail equipments as well as guides. Some tourist places you must visit are Fort Auguda, Chapel of St Lawrence and Candolim Church.

Accommodation at Candolim is easy to find, as plentiful guest houses, hotels, inns and resorts dot it, and all these come at price lower than those in other parts of Goa. Food is another component that I find enchanting here. I took lunch and dinner at two different restaurants, and both of them were stylish and elegant. Dishes were a bit spicy, but were cooked with passion, with the vibe being happy and cheerful either.

Apart from that what I’ve put in this blog, there is still a lot more Candolim has to add in your fun list. It’s being discovered by more and more people, and with passage of time it’s getting more and more gracious.
